Tips for Filing a Claim |
7-day Claims Payment Guarantee:
If all the required documents have been submitted and are in order, the Insurance Company will arrange settlement within 7 working days. Claims procedures are as follows:
- Claim notification via telephone, fax or e-mail to us as soon as possible
- Completion and returning of the Claim Form to us with supporting documents
1. Medical Expenses
Please submit the following supporting documents:
- Original medical report and receipts showing the patient’s name and date of consultation, expenses and diagnosis
- Originals or copies of the air ticket and boarding pass
2. Cancellation & Curtailment
Please submit the following supporting documents:
- A completed Claim Form with the reasons of cancellation/curtailment and breakdown of unused items with costs certified by the Travel Agent
- Other documents stating the cause and amount of the loss e.g. confirmation letter from the Airline Company, medical reports, tour receipts, etc
3. Loss/Damage to Baggage
Please be advised of the following:
- Report to the local police and other responsible parties such as the Airline Company and hotel if possible
- Submit a completed Claim Form stating details of the incident and loss, incident report reference and full addresses of the police station and hotel
- Original purchase receipts for the lost/damaged items if available
- Photos showing the damaged items if available
- Please keep the damaged items for the Insurer’s inspection if the situation allows
- If the baggage was damaged/lost in the custody of the Airline Company, please lodge a written complaint to the Airline Company immediately and seek compensation from them. Provide a copy of such letter to us as evidence
4. Baggage Delay
Please submit the following supporting documents:
- Originals or copies of the air ticket and boarding pass
- Written confirmation from the Airline Company stating the length of the delay
- A list showing the necessities bought with original receipts
5. Flight Delay
Please submit the following supporting documents:
- Originals or copies of the air ticket and boarding pass
- Written confirmation from the Airline Company stating the length and cause of the delay
- Original receipts if hotel accommodation or alternative transportation means which were arranged due to such delay
