Branches (Branch Operations)

  • Assist in daily operations of the branch to ensure compliance with established internal guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver quality customer service
  • Cultivate long-term relationship with customers and refer potential business opportunities to branch sales

Compliance

  • Manage day-to-day compliance risk management functions of the Bank and oversee the compliance risk of overseas branches and other banking subsidiaries
  • Drive the compliance risk management framework implemented throughout the whole banking group and ensure all levels of staff understand their responsibilities with respect to compliance risk management
  • Drive the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures in compliance with the Hong Kong regulatory environment
  • Acting as the main point of contact in relation to the regulators' inquiries for matters other than product development, and coordinate with the appropriate departments for the required responses
  • Update and training of staff on existing and new regulatory rules and guidelines

Financial Control

  • Perform financial and regulatory reporting functions e.g. preparation of banking returns and financial reports, and monitoring of financial compliance ratios
  • Effective control on the operations, structure and workflow of financial data and information and their subsequent retrieval
  • Perform financial analysis to evaluate business performance
  • Formulate changes in accounting policies and practices or the adoption of new accounting policies and the monitoring of their subsequent implementation

Human Resources

A full spectrum of human resources functions include manpower planning, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, HR compliance and system management.
  • Drive and facilitate organizational changes to enhance people capability and organizational effectiveness
  • Identify, develop and implement people strategies and operating plans that align with business strategies to ensure human capital and capability to fulfill business, operations and regulatory requirements
  • Act as business partner with the management and stakeholders of business/support units, and provide value-added HR advice and services in support of organization goals
