Bank of Shanghai, The Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank and Shanghai Commercial Bank established their own brand and character in Shanghai, Taiwan and Hong Kong respectively. Bank of Shanghai is one of the largest city commercial banks in China at present. The Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank was China's largest private financial institution when founded in Shanghai in 1915. Shanghai Commercial Bank, established in 1950, was originally the Hong Kong branch of the Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank.
In 1998, the management of the three banks gathered in Shanghai to explore possibilities for business cooperation. In the first formal business meeting held in Shanghai in April 2000, the idea of partnership between the three "Banks of Shanghai" was introduced, creating a new mode of interbank cooperation through holding annual business seminars, quarterly meetings and regular meetings of the management of all three banks.
Shanghai Commercial Bank, Bank of Shanghai and The Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank uphold the principle of "Three Shanghai Banks, all caring for you", offering united services including corporate finance, personal finance, remittances and credit cards to ensure customers in our three regions enjoy our quality banking services.
