Mobile Account Opening

Shacom Bank Mobile Account Opening is now available!

New individual customers1 (including individual customers who are holding our bank's credit card only or have a joint account at our bank only) can now open an individual bank accounts remotely through our Shacom Bank mobile app with their mobile phone, Hong Kong Identity Card and by uploading documents2, without personally coming to our branches! Upon successful account opening, you can manage your bank accounts online, and enjoy our faster and more convenient banking services

How to use Mobile Account Opening?




 

 

  1. Download the latest version of "Shacom Bank" mobile App in Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Tap "New Account Opening/ Documents Upload" on "Shacom Bank" home page
  3. Follow 4 simple steps to complete the application process with the same mobile device:
    - Take photos of your HKID card
    - Take selfies
    - Fill in the Application Form
    - Upload documents3 [if applying Securities Account and/or Credit Card]

Key Features

  • Mobile Account Opening via Shacom Bank mobile App at 24/7
  • Open 4 types of deposit accounts, securities account (including Internet Stock Trading Services and Mobile Stock Trading Service), internet banking service and apply for credit card at the same time
  • Below balance service fee will be waived (must continue to use with subscription for both Internet Banking and e-statement services)4
  • Only require HK Permanent Identity Card, HK mobile phone number and email address to apply for Mobile Account Opening
  • Support 2003 and 2018 versions of permanent HKID

1 Only applicable to new banking customers of Shanghai Commercial Bank who do not hold any individual deposit account with us, excluding student savings account. For other customers, please visit our branches for account opening.
2 To apply for securities account, please upload your valid address proof issued within the last 3 months, Employer's Letter (If your job nature relates to stock investment). To apply for credit card, please upload your valid address proof issued within the last 3 months and your income or asset proof (if applicable). For details, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions. To borrow or not to borrow? Borrow only if you can repay!
3 After application is submitted, post submission document upload function only supports applications involving securities account.

5 To apply for cheque book, please visit any of our branches to provide us with a specimen of your signature after the account is successfully opened.

Basic Requirement for Application

  • Aged 18 or above
  • Holder of a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card (Applicable to 2003 and 2018 versions of HKID card)
  • Having China (Hong Kong) as your single nationality
  • Holder of valid Hong Kong mobile phone number and email address
  • Not holding any individual deposit accounts of the following account types with Shanghai Commercial Bank (excluding Student Savings Account)
    - HKD No Passbook Savings Account
    - Foreign Currency No Passbook Savings Account
    - HKD Checking Account
    - Fixed Deposit Account
