User Profile Maintenance / Bank Account Maintenance / Problem with Logon

How to add, modify or delete bank accounts under my user account of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1?
You can refer to the following steps to add, modify or delete bank accounts:
Web Portal
(i) Add:
  1. Go to "Bank Accounts" after logon
  2. Click "Add"
  3. Complete the information
  4. Click "Add" to complete the setting
(ii) Modify:
  1. Go to "Bank Acocunts" after logon
  2. Select the bank account and click the hyperlink in the bank column
  3. Update the information
  4. Click "Modify" to complete the setting
(iii) Delete:
  1. Go to "Bank Accounts" after logon
  2. Select the bank account and click the hyperlink in the bank column
  3. Click "Remove"
  4. Click "Confirm" to complete the setting
Mobile Application
(i) Add:
  1. Open and logon the "e-Cheque Drop Box Service"1 Mobile Application
  2. Go to "User Profile > Bank Account Maintenance"
  3. Tab "+"
  4. Complete the information
  5. Tab  (Android) or "Add" (iOS) to complete the setting
(ii) Modify:
  1. Open and logon the "e-Cheque Drop Box Service"1 Mobile Application
  2. Go to "User Profile > Bank Account Maintenance"
  3. Select the bank account from either of the two folders (valid accounts and invalid accounts)
  4. Update the information
  5. Tab  (Android) or "Update" to complete the setting
(iii) Delete:
  1. Open and logon the "e-Cheque Drop Box Service"1 Mobile Application
  2. Go to "User Profile > Bank Account Maintenance"
  3. Click (Android) or slide from right to left (iOS) the bank account from either of the two folders (valid accounts and invalid accounts)
  4. Tab  (Android) or "Remove" (iOS)
  5. Tab "Confirm" to complete the setting
How to update user account information of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1?
You can refer to the following steps to update account information:
Web Portal
  1. Go to "User Profile" after logon
  2. Modify the information (salutation, name, phone number or preferred language)
  3. Click "Update" to complete the update
Mobile Application
  1. Open and logon the "e-Cheque Drop Box Service"1 Mobile Application
  2. Go to "User Profile > User Account Maintenance"
  3. Modify the information (salutation, preferred name, phone number or preferred language)
  4. Click  (Android) or "Submit" (iOS) to complete the update
If I changed my user profile or bank account on the web portal or the mobile application of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1, do I have to repeat the same on the other channel?
No. All the changes will be applied to both the web portal and the mobile application once saved.
Can I close my user account of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1?
Yes. You can close your account under “User Profile”. The presentment records will not be available on the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 once the user account has been closed. However, it does not affect the processing of the presented e-Cheques.
What can I do if I forget my password?
You can refer to the following steps to reset password:
Web Portal
  1. Click "Logon" at the top right corner on the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 homepage
  2. Click "Forget your password?" on the logon page
  3. Enter the required information and click "Submit". A Forget Password Assistance email will be sent to the registered email address
  4. Open the email and click on the hyperlink provided within 5 calendar days. Otherwise, the hyperlink will be expired
  5. Click "Confirm" on the pop-up window
  6. Enter the required information and click "Submit" and a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address
  7. Logon with your new password
Mobile Application
  1. Open the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 Mobile Application
  2. Visit "Logon/Register"
  3. On the logon page, tap "Forget your password?"
  4. Enter the required information and tap "Submit". A Forget Password Assistance email will be sent to the registered email address
  5. Tap on the hyperlink provided in the email and select to open with the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 Mobile Application within 5 calendar days. Otherwise, the hyperlink will be expired
  6. Enter the required information and tap "Submit" and a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address
  7. Logon with your new password
Why is my user account of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 is disabled?
Your user account will be disabled if you have failed to logon after 5 consecutive unsuccessful logon attempts (e.g. invalid password). If you forget your password, please use the “Forget your password” function to reset password.

1. The "e-Cheque Drop Box Service" is provided by the Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited and access can be made and access can be made via http://www.echeque.hkicl.com.hk or "e-Cheque Drop Box Service" mobile application.
