User Account Registration

How to register for the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1? What information is required? Do I need to provide Hong Kong ID Card (HKID) number or passport number for registration?
To use this service, it just takes a few simple steps to complete the user account registration through the web portal or mobile application of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1. A valid email address and a bank account number for e-Cheques deposit are needed during user account registration. It is not necessary to provide Hong Kong ID Card (HKID) number or passport number for registration. Can I register more than one bank account during user account registration?
Each valid email address can only be used to register the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 once. However, you may add up to 30 bank accounts via bank account maintenance function after user account registration.
Can I register more than one user account of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1?
Yes. You may register more than one user account with different email addresses.
Can I register any account under Shanghai Commercial Bank together with other banks' account(s) in the same user account of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1?
You can register the Bank's 11-digit deposit accounts (including personal, joint and corporate accounts) below or 16-digit credit card accounts under Shanghai Commercial Bank in your “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1 user account. Maximum 30 bank accounts can be registered in one user account, regardless which bank(s) the bank account(s) belong(s) to. For other participating banks and relevant information, please contact corresponding banks directly.

Do I need to register two user accounts for web portal and mobile application?
You only required to register a user account that allows you to use and logon both web portal and mobile application of the “e-Cheque Drop Box Service”1.

1. The "e-Cheque Drop Box Service" is provided by the Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited and access can be made and access can be made via http://www.echeque.hkicl.com.hk or "e-Cheque Drop Box Service" mobile application.
