How can I make a payment?
To make a payment by "Select/Input Payee Contact to Pay",
- Payer can tap "Pay" button to start the Payment
- Either select the payee from "Recent Paid Payee"/ "Contacts" directly or enter payees' mobile number/ email address/ FPS Identifier in search bar to search, even the payee is not saved in your phonebook. The searching result will be displayed after tapping the search button
- Select the payee, check if the information is correct and input the transaction details
- Confirm the transaction details and enter the mobile PIN to complete the payment transaction
OR
To make a payment by "Scan QR Code to Pay",
- Payer can tap "Pay" button to start the Payment
- Tap "Scan to Pay" icon at top-right corner and turn on the QR code scanner
- Scan the QR code presented by payee, check if the information is correct and input the transaction details
- Confirm the transaction details and enter the mobile PIN to complete the payment transaction
Is there any limit on number of contacts extracted from my phonebook?
Shacom Pay can display all your contacts.
Can I perform "Pay Money"anytime?
You can use Shacom Pay to initiate your "Pay Money" instruction anytime and the transaction will also reach the payee(s)' bank immediately after you confirmed your "Pay Money" instruction. The paid amount will be deposited to the payee(s)' bank account after payee(s)' bank confirmed and processed the transaction.
Will the fund be deposited to receiver's bank account immediately?
It is subject to the handling of receiver's Bank. We will execute the payment transaction immediately once upon receiving customers instruction.
After confirming the transaction, the transaction status will be stated as "Pending". Money will be deposited into the receiver's bank account after payment processing of the receiver's bank.
Once your money has been successfully deposited into receiver(s)' bank account, the status will be shown as "Completed" under "Processed" section in transaction details.
Is there any transaction limit for "Pay Money" in Shacom Pay?
Minimum: HK$1 for each "Pay"/"Request" money instruction;
Maximum: HK$10,000, subject to the preset aggregated Daily Transaction Limit of small value fund transaction.
Daily Limit:
- The maximum daily transaction limit is HK$10,000.
- You are only allowed to pay money through Shacom Pay at or below the maximum daily limit you defined with the Bank.
- You can change the daily transaction limit via "Change Other Settings" function under "Settings" in the mobile application anytime after successful registration.
Note: This daily limit is shared between the bank's small value fund transfer services, including Shacom Pay.
Can I make a payment to someone who did not register for any FPS mobile application/ FPS Addressing service?
Shacom Pay is designed to support payments to bank accounts with valid registered mobile number/ email address/ FPS Identifier only.
Can I cancel my "Pay Money" instruction?
The "Pay Money" instruction is irrevocable once you have confirmed the transaction. Please pay special attention to the completeness and accuracy of the information before confirming your "Pay Money" instruction.
